Politicians are increasingly calling for the use of recycled plastics. This now goes far beyond packaging. The European Ecodesign Regulation defines mandatory recycled content for a large number of product groups, the EU End-of-Life Vehicles Regulation for all new vehicles. Other special regulations govern additional specific product groups such as batteries. More on this from the Managing Director of TecPart - Verband Technische Kunststoff-Produkte e. V.
In order to fulfil these legal requirements, companies must take action today, for example by taking simplified design for better recycling, longer service life or improved durability into account when designing products and goods.
We will hear ideas from Evonik and insights from the experience of the co-organiser, BARLOG Plastics GmbH.
In addition, processors need to gain a better understanding of recyclates that are already available on the market today. How can good recyclate qualities be recognised?
Some of the speakers will have answers to this question. The event sponsor, ENNEATECH AG, will provide information on qualities from the polyamide sector in particular.
Better recycling systems must increase the quality and quantity of recyclates. We will also be hearing a lot about this at the wip-Forum 2025, including from GRANNEX and the IKK - Institute for Plastics and Circular Economy.
