Siemens AG commissioned a study from IKK in order to be able to make more concrete statements on the improved recycling of protective devices from electrical installation and energy distribution. Together with its partners Electrocycling and Tomra, the aim was to analyse the recycling of Siemens E&E products.
The results of the IKK investigations are very promising, as they revealed no impurities. Recycling also had hardly any effect on the thermal properties. Only the mechanical properties and colour quality of some plastics deviated from those of the primary materials.
