In an interactive experiment, visitors explore the separation and sorting of plastics for recycling through their own experiments. A mixture of different plastics with differences in colour, shape, weight and material type will be presented. Visitors can decide for themselves whether they want to sort by colour, shape/size or density. By using different separation and sorting methods, they can carry out industrial processes themselves on a small scale. This self-determined approach allows visitors to explore the complexity of plastic separation and understand the importance of effective separation for sustainable recycling.
