Short description: Using two different scanner systems (flatbed scanner, slide scanner), high-resolution images of various specimens can be captured. Using the X-Shape software, the recorded images are then analysed to determine the size and shape factors of the test specimens. The system can be used to examine fibres as well as particles or granules of different sizes. A special feature of the software is that it makes it possible to exclude interfering particles, interfering fibres or agglomerates of several samples from the measurement by specifically limiting the shape parameters.
FibreShape: Measuring system for length and width measurement of natural and synthetic fibres with a fibre length of 3 nm to 30 cm and a fibre width of 1 nm to 3 mm.
PowderShape: Measuring system for measuring the size and shape factors of particles with a grain size of 1 nm to 3 cm.
